Growth.

August’s theme is Growth.

It’s not only my birth month but also a time in my career where I feel like growth is a constant. Interestingly enough the “copy” to this blog template included some very appropriate text that I will keep here. I believe it’s super relevant and very fitting. to what’s happening in my life. Plus, it’s the same advice I would be giving to my own clients.

As I’ve mentioned before - I’m in the midst of launching a new business - I’ve felt a bit hesitant on the creation of my own branding. It’s interesting how that happens. It’s always been very easy for me to provide direction and feedback to businesses but when it comes to my business I’ve felt a bit frozen. Maybe because it’s finally my time to shine and I’m feeling the pressure? Because I’m a true perfectionist at heart and want everything to be perfect? I’ll leave you with these words of advice from Squarespace:

“Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do. Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.”
